The 2019 Minsk European Olympics this time will welcome more than 4,000 European best athletes to the Belarusian capital. There are more than 180 medals that will be won by the athletes in 15 sports. Furthermore, as many as eight games will be qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The features of the second edition of the European Games are mixed athletic matches (men and women) with a new and exclusive appearance. The game this time carries the theme “Dynamic New Athletics.” The event collaborates with European Athletics to attract a broader range of television viewers. The Minsk 2019 European Games will come up with a new format and involve the top 30 countries in Europe who will compete in collecting victory medals.
The Minsk European Games Organizing Committee (MEGOC) said that the broadcasting rights for the 2nd European Olympic Games were given to 117 countries. It is estimated that more states will want to broadcast a big sporting event. MEGOC and companies that sell media rights also plan to increase the number of publishers to 160 regions. However, the 2019 European Games are not just European regional events, but global scale events. It is estimated that foreign fans who came to Belarus, mostly from neighboring Russia, Ukraine and Poland. Fortunately, foreign nationals who want to buy tickets to the 2nd European Olympics will not need a visa to come to Belarus. They will also be released from toll payments if they use the toll road from June 10 to July 10. Minsk will host the 2nd European Match with more than 4,000 athletes from 50 countries participating. The athletes will later be met in 199 sports matches.
The 2019 European Games in Minsk will take place from 21 June to 30 June 2019. This match will be broadcast officially by International Sports Broadcasting (ISB) and will be displayed in 160 countries with a total coverage time of 600 hours. ISB is a Spanish broadcasting company founded in 1996 by Romero. Previously, the tender for the 2019 Olympic broadcast contract, which will be held in Minsk, has been run by a local committee. The committee consisted of the Belarusian Olympic Committee, the TV Company, and Belarusian State Radio, as well as several government ministries and departments. At that time, ISB followed the offer for a contract in conjunction with the Portuguese Media production company Luso-Mediapro and TV Match broadcasters sponsored by the Russian government.
Finally, the European Olympic Committee confirmed the appointment of the ISB and also sold the broadcast rights to the second European Olympics. ISB has been a channel for broadcasters from many of the world’s leading sports events. There are a total of seven Olympics, six Paralympics, and the 2015 European Olympics in Baku. The contract between the ISB and the organizers of the European Olympics was officially signed in Belarus.
